David Goudie


David was born and raised in beautiful Sydney Australia. He spent his childhood like most Australian kids at the beach, in the bush, playing sport and enjoying the wonderful lifestyle that Australia offers.

A graduate of Business School at UTS Sydney, David spent his first formative professional years in brand management rising quickly to senior brand management roles for some of the world’s largest FMCG multinationals. By 25 David was responsible for a premium international brand portfolio and team across Europe, Africa & Asia.

Drawn to creative the creative side of brands and marketing, in time David took a risk and jumped across the from client-side to agency-side. As a senior director in the exciting world of international advertising and design, David ran multiple clients and was responsible for the delivery of integrated communications solutions for many global brands and businesses. During this chapter in David’s career he learnt not only the ins and out of the Agency business but also how to add value to clients brands and businesses quickly. To understand, to find insights and to produce on-point communication solutions that deliver.

David eventually found himself running his own business and by 2004 David’s third stint as a design agency business owner began. 12+ years creating, designing and selling. As David put’s it “ these were the most valuable years of my working life in terms of the skills I learnt and the experience I gained”

Today David indulges his passion for brand and brand development at the helm of the specialist Naming and Branding Agency, Name Shakers. A niche agency for crystal clear brand strategy, powerful naming solutions and unique visual IDs. With so many new and exciting businesses hitting the market every day there has never been a more exciting time to be in the brand business.
